April Club Run

The April Club run is going to be a style for 2008. Instead of checking out lantana the Club is going to the Dorrigo Plateau area for an easy run. Please bring your picnic baskets for lunch. Departure time is 9.00am from Maccas North. If you want breakfast get there earlier.

This is what Overlander on line mag has to say

"There are two tracks in particular that are worth having a look at. Apart from the Cod Hole track that has some interesting detours in its own right, there's the track to Flaggy Falls and another to Mobong Falls. These tracks are not difficult to travel, and they allow access to some very spectacular country.

Crossing Flaggy Creek through axle deep water can be a little rough, but not too difficult, and you can pull up for a while and check out the views and maybe clamber down some rocks to get a better look at these small but picturesque falls. Mobong Falls on the other hand plunge about 150 metres into the gorge below them, and can only be viewed by way of some very strenuous bushwalking. Once again you are reminded of the power of the water here with some very big logs wedged into the rocks at the top."
